despite his larger-than-life persona, archer has his insecurities and can be quite anxious under pressure when it comes to things that actually matter to him. even though he is often that whiney brat who sometimes fails to shut up about minor inconveniences, he tends to isolate when he's under extreme stress. he'd stay up all night and work beyond his limits by over-consuming coffee, break down when he ends up hating the product, takes a brief nap then repeat. if it's something related to relationships instead of work/school, he'd try to numb himself with substances and get very drunk to wash away his thoughts. he’s more used to being seen as the jokester and can be quite uncomfortable with showing his invulnerabilities except when it comes to the trusted few.
