Replacing My Working Devices with iPad Pro?
So after Apple released their M1 processor, I began to think about replacing my own laptop.
For a person who always use a laptop, at first using ipad for work is just not efficient..at..all. I was using ipad pro 10.5". Close enough I guess to experience the new ipadOS!
I was like : "hey, this is why macs never get any touch screen display! It's dumb!" Even if you have a mouse connected, you'll always need to touch the screen.
But after using it for a while, well.. It's fun. It's feel different.
I'm working but it doesn't feel working. I would say, it cuts the working feeling by 50%.
You don't need to worry about the battery. You can go wherever you want. Grab the Apple pencil and start writing anything.
It's fun. Also there's a camera to communicate things better.
Right now, when typing this post, I just want to use the ipad more for work. It is that good!
BUT WAIT...
This is a thing you want to hear right? The negative things..
The deal breaker! Yes there is one. At least for me.
I find that my most used notes app does not support copying and pasting multiple paragraph blocks in ipad (mobile in general).
The developer explains that it is the limitation for mobile platform.
As a tech person, I understand this.
But I realize one thing.
THERE WILL ALWAYS BE LIMITATIONS FOR MOBILE PLATFORMS!
A desktop operating system still has a lot of advantages. If I didn't find the limitation with my notes app, I will surely find other limitations from the other places.
Well I'd like to switch to iPad pro! It's just different and fun.
The problem is.. a macbook just isn't as appealing as ipad pro right now. I can buy mac mini with the same power.
Well I guess I should change my notes app. But it is powerful though! Okay then, I'll start opening tickets and writing my complains to the notes developer.

M1 MacBook Air Review
Each Mac ran on an Intel-based processor, meaning that Apple did not do so in terms of processing power - such as with the iPhone and iPad. But Apple has now cut the cord with Intel. It recently came with its own chip for Macs, and the first version is called M1.
What does this mean for you as a customer? Apple stated that the M1 is a faster processor, optimizes battery life, and allows you to install iPhone or iPad applications. The switch to the M1 also brought a super-quiet active cooling system to the Pro-lineup and completely removed the fan from the air.

Well, when it looks, the MacBook Air is not at all different from the version launched earlier this year. So it has a finger-clear keyboard with crystal clear display, TouchID and a large trackpad. There are still two USB-C ports. All changes are in.

With its latest Mac range, Apple has released an operating system overhaul, called Big Sur, already taking quality software and improving it. Browsing the web, downloading video files, opening apps, and everyday use on the M1 Air respond to Big Sur quickly and correctly.
Opening the Adobe Creative Cloud app, in particular, takes about 12 seconds, especially when ready to use the app from the initial double-click. The M1 chip has clearly optimized everyday use in the MacBook Air and has not slowed down my video-editing workload - and this is coming from someone who has always used a decked-out MacBook Pro.
