Colombian M1117 Guardian APC involved in an IED attack in 2017, which took the lives of 3 passengers out of 12 inside.
In 2020 the army attempted to bring it back to service via an ambitious overhaul scheme, but by late 2022 it was deemed impossible to fix, so instead it became a monument inside the army depot that tried to fix it.
The attempt came to be as these vehicles are highly appreciated by Colombian troops, due to their high crew survival rates during IED attacks.
Two other vehicles with slightly less damage were successfully brought back to service by the same unit.
