The crowd were really hungry In the campsite at Rath Lugh And were waiting for some dinner And hoped they’d get some stew. Well they cooked with muddy water In an aluminium pot Along with all the veggies Everything edible they’d got. It tasted really awful But what else could they do All starve with the hunger Or eat this ‘Hippie Goo’?

Tara Valley Motorway

Ignoring our traditions And heedless of our rights They marked out a new motorway On forty-five old sites Then young people came to Tara On 06' Solstice day Debbie, Dan and Donnough Took a stand, and said "No Way!"

After forty years bad planning Did we really need One hundred thousand more people In the plains of Meath

All driving through our valley Traffic chaos night and day So to solve this awful problem They planned a motorway

Today the conscience of our country It is breathing it’s last sigh Is it victory for Ferrovial And you who stood idly by?

They are building a new interchange For Lorries, buses and fast cars But it’s bright illumination Will blot out the stars

When we go to Tara Hill In the dark of night Cygnus, Libra and Orion Are such a pretty sight

Rath Lugh Eviction

So now they’re all evicted. There’s nothing left to see. Except one man left standing, ‘Cos Cowboy’s up a tree

For hours Cowboy holds out. In his perch up in the sky, And security can’t move him, No matter how they try.

Now everybody’s fenced out. But one man is left there. Alone with all the spirits, And Rath Lugh’s great white mare.
