https://chubbysewcialist.tumblr.com Here is another Tried N True pattern, a long sleeved t-shirt that I keep changing the neck and length on, because I can. The pattern M6964 ″Misses' T-Shirts and Tank Top” is another nice and simple pattern I recommend for beginners. Its way easier to experiment with new/weird fabrics when the pattern itself is relatively quick and easy. Again, this is a project from last year (or possibly earlier, argh brainfog) so unfortunately the Teal Stretch Embossed Velvet is no longer available. It’s another poly-spandex blend that’s nice and comfy for the winter time, on top of being a cuddly velvet with a fun paisley pattern. Pattern alterations: Raised the waist 1.5 inches, and lengthened the sleeves for sweaterpaws. Added a few inches to the hem, and changed the collar to a v-neck. I made a whole bunch of longer tunics and shirts back then because I was still wearing these cheap jeans that I technically still have but don’t really like to wear. I can’t afford to redo my entire winter wardrobe, and if I could I still wouldn’t have the spoons for that much sewing. These are still very comfy items, so instead I can wear them tucked under my collection of knee-lenght skirts with leggings.
