cirque d' amen | jennifer murray | poemtry presentation
" If Jesus were the Ringmaster, and the Pope resembled the status of a White Face Joe Clown, Cardinals were helpers just like Augustin Clowns, then wouldn’t
Bishops, Canons and Priests be supporting acts such as Acrobats, Dwarfs, Horseriders?
Aren’t Believers an audience, don’t routines resemble rituals and
aren’t we all just a little entertained? "
those were the thoughts behind jennifer murray's cirque d'amen graduate collection. London College of Fashion put together for the second year the bi-annual presentation of the MA's collection. i gotta tell you, i've been blown away by the new designers' diversity & creativity. and if you have to know, i watched the livestream more than three times, ok?
well, it was hard but, for this post i chose jennifer murray's amazing work to show you. obviously it's a men's line but there isn't a single item i wouldn't wear in a heartbeat. take it from the iridescent & golden brocards, to the sequined circled pattern on the loose-fitted camel coat, to the shoes.. and i'm ready to run away with cirque d'amen.
extra bonus: the lookbook. gives away the dominating melancholy of cathedrals on gloomy sundays.
