“I saw it come from the water. The spines on its back cut through the surface as it rapidly approached our ship’s starboard side, we thought they were a rock formation, that was until we saw it rear its ugly head. It towered over us, but it was only the upper half of its body, it was much larger than any monster I’ve ever seen or heard of, it was almost the size of our ship. It let out a shriek that rang through the entire ship as it tore through her. It sounded mad. I swear my ears are still ringing. I was lucky I had the natural ability to swim as a water monster, I was able to get away quickly. However, I’ve always felt physically ill since the encounter, like it carried a plague around with it. Even then, I can still see it haunting eyes, it can still hear its deathly song. I can’t get away from it.” - Scallop Freighter Cruise 162 shipwreck survivor
