姉がクラシックを愛聴し、兄が洋楽を聴いていたので、色々なジャンルの音楽が好きです。クラシック系であれば交響曲をはじめとする声のない楽器中心の音楽が好きです。中でもマーラーの交響曲は大好きです。こちらはマゼール指揮の全集になってます。

もう20年以上前になりますが、先輩からマゼール指揮wpoのマーラーの1番を貰いました。当時、私はアバド指揮csoのマーラー1番を持っていたので聴き比べてみました。アバドはよく歌います。流れもスムーズ。それに比べ、マゼールは流れない。ところが、一つ一つの楽器の音が鮮明で濁らない。音の重なりの一つ一つ透けているかのよう。すっかりマゼールのファンになりました。そんなマゼールもアバドも数年前に亡くなっていて残念です。
