Recently, I made the decision to finally go and explore the City of Johannesburg.
I had a bad attempt at parallel parking but managed after the car guard helped me, rather embarrassing i'll say. I got out and looked around, i sensed a spirit of adventure inside me. Everything is new to me and i had only heard about the famous Jozi and its rich cultural City.
There where lots of stylish people appearing around corners, the occasional beggar, photographers taking photos of the street life and on the opposite side of the road from where i stood was a group of dancers exchanging dance moves.
Braamfontein is a safe square. Here you can walk around finding Boutique's, coffee shops and meet people. Also famous for the popular Neighbourgoods Market.
Magoneg is approximately 15 minutes drive from Braamfontein and resembles only a glimps of reality for this city. Beautiful street art, lots of inspiring concept stores and delicious food. Rooftops are rented out on weekends catering for parties. The Canteen is a popular wedding venue, this adds life to the small part of town.
I have only seen a small part of this city and all it has to offer. Luckily it is not that far.
