Q U E S T I O N : Why do Mac-based gamers keep gaming on their Macs?
A N S W E R : Because there are certain companies out there, that keep making offers to Mac owners for Mac versions of their games. Common sense dictates …suggests that Mac owners can afford to have a reasonable amount of faith in such offers being serious and legit i.e, not being fraud or scams.
Q U E S T I O N : Why do gaming companies offer versions of their products for different platforms, if they don’t seem to make any effort whatsoever to keep these versions on par with their flagship version e.g, for PC or Consoles?
A N S W E R : D’uh… what a dumb question! That’s how to have an extra shot at getting extra money. It’s very profitable to milk PC and Console owners, but it’s even more profitable to target people on other platforms like Mac and Linux as well. There’s no need to convince anybody, by offering a platform-friendly product. You only need to make it, look, like your product is platform-friendly. All people on all platforms have to be persuaded just enough, to pay.
Q U E S T I O N : After a thorough, in-depth experience with Path of Exile and ARK: Survival Evolved, is there still a reason to follow common sense when it comes to expecting fair play and fair deals in gaming products for Mac?
A N S W E R : Absolutely not. Outside the current standard platform range — PC / Console / Mobile — there’s a significant risk of malinvestment for owners of other platforms. You may be offered a bogus product that isn’t worth any amount of time, effort, or money. If anything there’s a substantial risk of being targeted by willful deceit and a variety of money-making scams, using legal loopholes currently available in e-commerce. See related topic: Loot Boxes.
E R G O : Use common sense offline. Online, killer instinct is much preferred.
