Makeup Bag of the Month | November
Makeup Bag of the Month | November
Hi everyone! It’s Giada there, the founder of GlamObserver. Last month I started a new beauty series to share with you what is in my make up bag every first of the month. I usually opt for a natural makeup look, but this doesn’t mean I only use a few products and stick with all of them all the time. Like everyone, I have my favourites that I buy over and over, but I also like a change and trying…

So at the end of last summer I ended up purchasing my first ever Mac product (read: there is no Mac store for a good 3.5hr anywhere from me, and the closest mac-in-macys is 45 minutes away from me in a mall that’s in the bottom half of the country’s 10 largest malls... yikes not really an everyday shopping place imo) and it was the Mac Studio Fix (fluid)....
now I’m going to do a full review eventually but I bought the product in August and it’s now March and I finally realized that the O N L Y way to wear this foundation and not be a cake-face is to use no primer underneath it... which I hate doing!! I’ve used about 5 different primers underneath it (which aren’t problematic under anything else) and like 20 different brushes and sponges and even my fingers to apply and it all comes out horrible. I never use no-primer under a full face unless I know I’m only going to be out for a small time only. I’m kind of upset because on one hand it finally looks smooth on my face but on the other hand I NEED undercoats under foundation because my nose is oily as hell (not to mention this product doesn’t fill pores whatso ever alone).
Anyway I guess I’m ranting now because I’m finally starting to run out of it and I’m reflecting on what a wild ride it was over the past 7-8 months getting this foundation to look as nice as my 2$ Wet and Wild liquid foundation that is literally flawless... and everywhere I go people are raving about this foundation but for me it’s a huge flop? Not to mention the girl color-matched me to the wrong shade which is irrelevant to the product application itself.
idk if I used it wrong but Mac studio fix has virtually no coverage which is bs for the price
