TWIN CITIES STUDENT ORGANIZERS/ACTIVISTS

Minnesota Arms Spending Alternatives Project is currently looking to add two interns onto our team. The organizing interns will coordinate an F-35 campaign on their campus as part of a national movement to redirect military spending to domestic needs, specifically student tuition.  The interns will research the trade-offs for excessive military spending (the F-35 in particular) and how that affects student tuition and debt burden.  They will then continue a photo petition campaign to build support for Representative Keith Ellison’s Peace Conversion Bill, arriving in the House of Representatives later this year.

 Candidates must be able to work 2-3 hours per week and attend a short training in September.  Ideal candidates will have experience and knowledge about social media and social movements.
