Same. Sometimes I don't even realize that it's happening until my husband kindly reminds me that it's just PMS. Realizing that's all it is helps me shut if off.

And this time my husband reminded me that it was PMS right at the beginning as I started to cry and I was like “oh yeah, you’re right, wahhhhhh!” continues to cry

Just a thought... what's wrong with judging people on their life skills/talents/accomplishments instead of what does or doesn't get their rocks off?? Why does everything have to be about who's "cis", "trans" or "gay".... why aren't we just "people"?

you seem to be mixing up gender and sexuality. gender is what you are (male, female, nonbinary, etc) and sexuality is who you do or do not want to fuck (straight, gay, bi, pan, ace, etc)(plus being homoromantic, biromantic, etc). please notice that i said “what you are” and not “what you identify as” for gender. additionally, both gender and sexuality are spectrums, not binaries.

now: the main people judging people for “what does or doesn’t get their rocks off” are the people in charge aka the oppressors (also almost all of the planet), and they very much care about this. the reason “everything has to be about who’s “cis” or “trans”” is because trans people get murdered, don’t get hired, get kicked out of their families and homes, etc etc. your peace-keeping “we’re all one race” mindset ignores their experiences. you are not being progressive by thinking people’s experiences don’t matter. what you’re doing is telling people that you know that they’ve struggled and that you chose not to care.

i would very much like to judge people on their life skills and accomplishments. part of this is recognizing that other people go through different experiences than me. here’s an example, and i’ll try to keep it general because the only people you seem to know exist are cishet white men, going off of your blog. i very much admire laverne cox because she is a black transwoman and the entire world is stacked against her and she is an amazingly brave, clever, talented, awesome woman. recognizing what she’s been through and is still going through is part of that. paying attention to her when she talks about the struggles of trans people and not just when she looks good on a red carpet is part of that. listening to her is part of that.

you don’t get a say in what matters with this. people like you and i, cisgendered people, have spent centuries violently saying that it very much does matter, and now finally there’s a moment where other people’s voices are being heard. you have a choice: 1) shut the fuck up and listen to someone besides yourself and help further their narrative and voices and lessen their struggle and try to learn something and not make this about yourself and your “Just a thought”s, or 2) be part of the problem, talk over them, tell them that their experiences do not matter to you

again, i’m cis. i don’t really like saying original thoughts about this (i prefer to just reblog stuff and help boost stuff actually written by trans people) but the mindset i’ve seen is that allies are supposed to handle the little stuff like this when we can, to help out and to normalize it (?). so here you go, the answer to your question
