“El problema que le veo a "Rebeca" es meramente personal lo reconozco. No me siento en ningún momento identificado con las peripecias de la señorita Joan Fontaine. Un mujer neurótica, con falta de personalidad, egocéntrica no lo olvidemos ya que su máxima preocupación es aparentar ser tan "guay" como la anterior señora Winter. Una envidia típica de mujer (que si es muy guapa, que si la quería más, que si...) Evidentemente sólo una mujer podría hacer una cosa así y dar ese enfoque de culebrón que arrastra todo el film.”
