isn't serendipity (and / or synchronicity) a wonderful thing?
take, for example, today.
I've noticed a very strange bug in my Mac wherein my storage partition (separate from a smaller, boot partition) shows only what's left, not how much is available.
basically, I can delete a 10GB file or folder, and somehow, the space available is capped at a different number.
very, very strange.
this is especially frustrating, because:
1. modern Macs are often capped at capacities, meaning that when I'm out, I'm truly out of luck. it's either stuck with 2TB, buying a new Mac, or hauling around another external disk.
2. my photo library (which I've been wanting to put on Omse's internal drive) is 164GB (where my available space reads 186GB), and ideally, your storage partition is spacious and requires little culling of excess data. this would be cutting it dangerously close.
so, as a last-ditch effort I call up Apple.
and first off, this is 3 out of 3 successes where the person on the other line is phenomenally friendly and cordial. Apple, you win this round!
and this person in the present did not disappoint.
first, he and I shared a playfully perplexed state of mind, and he passed me along to someone higher up, who was not only equally friendly, but, it turns out, a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner!
and you know what? he passed that along to some engineers, and we're scheduled to talk tomorrow at the same time.
how funny is that, I'm actually looking forward to that session, both swapping positive energy with a person on the other end and getting to the bottom of a long-standing issue.
ahhhh. what a time to be alive. :)
what about you, dear reader? any fantastic law of attractions that came your way?
