Getting Started
Hello people.Somehow, the original article was deleted,so I will write a new one. This is the back story of how the whole "Macedonia is Bulgaria" started... Basically, how this blog started in a nutshell.
When I was a fifth-grader,I got to learn geography and history, both really interesting. As I was reading, reading, reading,I came across the country called "Macedonia",so I asked my dad "Dad,what is Macedonia?"
He looked at me and said: "A country created by the communists, which steals our history."
Me,being a fifth-grader,not knowing anything about Bulgaria between 1944-1989,just stayed for a minute, and said "OK,thanks dad".
But now,a few years later, when I have read enough about it,I can say only one word: failure.
Macedonia, or Make-It-Own-Ya is an artificially created country that brainwashes its population with propaganda(e.g. Bulgarians are tatars and Nazis, etc) and any Macedonians with Bulgarian consciousness would be fired from job, thrown in jail, the Bulgarians' human rights there don't even exist,it's like a dictatorship really. No freedom of speech, propaganda, propaganda, propaganda.
This is like self-destruction: They fuck their chance up to join anything.
Greece already vetoed them once.
The "population" of Macedonia is again, brainwashed, calling Alexander the Great a "Macedonian" ( He is greek ) , calling many Bulgarian heroes "Macedonian heroes" and so on.I once read that Columbus was Macedonian, not joking.
Do you want to know the truth? In a nutshell again.
Macedonia was created by the demands of Stalin. It was like destroying your own county really. All Bulgarian immigrants from Greece were forcefully moved to the newly-founded country.
Disputes with Greece
After the collapse of Yugoslavia,Macedonia had to make a new flag, and guess what they had chosen... The Vergina Sun!
I am going to quote wikipedia here:
On 11 August 1992, the newly independent Republic of Macedonia adopted a new flag to replace the old Communist "red star" insignia. The flag depicted a stylised yellow sun centred on a red field with eight main and eight secondary rays emanating from the sun, tapering to a point. This ancient symbol was known as the Vergina Sun or Vergina Star, named after the Greek town where it had been discovered in archaeological excavations of the ancient Macedonian city of Aigai.
The flag, the new state's constitution and its name all became the focus of a bitter dispute between the two countries, during which Greece imposed an economic blockade on the Republic from February 1994. In July 1995, Greece lodged a request with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for exclusive trademark protection to the Vergina Sun. [5]
I have to sleep, but thanks for reading!
