🌻🎨✨So, here’s how I “became” an artist: Firstly, I have been an artist ever since I was 3, if you want to get real about it. I started making messes with my spaghetti in my high chair, and drew really wonky shapes in the fronts of books and on old printer paper. I colored a LOT. I was obsessed with coloring. So, really, all I know is I started drawing at age 3 or 4. I can’t remember that far back. Think about it…I CAN’T EVEN REMEMBER BECOMING AN ARTIST, so in my own mind, I have always been one. That doesn’t mean I was a good one, but I was one. I was a little tiny itty bitty artiste. haha, I wanted to draw on everything, including walls, books, my desk, and more. I even carved little things into my desk actually, down on the little opening where your legs go. lol. I was a mess. I’ve kinda always been a mess, to be honest. I’m not a minimalist. My workspace is always a mess, and I can never keep it tidy. I’m hoping this will change when I finish my new basement studio renovations, but let’s be real….I’ll probably still have messes. And that’s okay. Sometimes us creatives just work differently than others. Our minds are sometimes just different, but it’s all good. 😂 We have something interesting to offer the world, right? My fellow artists, comment down below if you get me. 🦄 Anyway, I have taken art classes from elementary school all the way to now. I still watch tutorials, and participate in classes online. It’s so much fun to keep learning new things, and to watch other artists’ processes. I’m currently 30 years young, and live in Knoxville, Tennessee with my hubby @shoelacegraphic and my kitty, Luna. 💖 #artiststatement #art #artist #illustrator #artiststory #insanelyinspiredinstagram #artistsofinstagram #thisismystory #fantasyart #maceylou #maceyloubrown #maceylouart (at Knoxville, Tennessee)
