Mach Windy: Gold Arm, I'm asking your permission to date your brother.
Gold Arm: What is this, the dark ages? You know what? Since you've asked, no you can't. Beat me in a duel first.
Ship It vs Don't Ship It: MachFoot
Ship It!
1. What made you ship it?
I mean... The inherent gayness of a passionate rivalry is amazing enough on its own. But then the Forced Retirement Arc boosted this up to OTP status.
2. What are your favorite things about the ship?
I love that they're both so playfully mean to each other? I usually don't fall for that kind of dynamic, but I dunno, with these two? They get to me. At their core, the two of them want to improve... To impress the other. They act tough, like it's just a means to one up one another, but it's so obvious to everyone around them that they're madly in love with one another and too awkward to just say it. Their love language is touch, it's action. They have no idea how to tell the other how they feel, so they just act on it and leave it unsaid.
3. Unpopular opinion you have on the ship?
Once again, it's really hard to have an unpopular opinion when the fandom is microscopic. But I do think some artists (no one I've seen on here but hey) try to paint Mach Windy as like... Demure? Which I get suits tropes better, but that just isn't MachFoot or Mach Windy. The appeal to me is that they match each other's energy so well. Windy isn't shy, he doesn't back down, and he's not passive.
