[Awkward Mun doesn't know a ton about Cid, but I really could see him being an endearing lover. He's very driven by what he cares about, or believes in. If he were to find someone just as driven? I could see him being shipped with said someone. I get the feeling if he fell for someone, it would just be end-game there. I couldn't see a family and kids, but whoever he fell for? Out of Paperwork: In actuality, that's very true. The male is not against love, however, he does find himself seeking it, due to past (headcanon) issues. 

If Raines ever did find someone that was just as driven as he was, someone that would connect with him on such a level that pushed past his mentality of being a soldier (and trust me, it takes a lot to do that), it would reveal a side of himself that he does not show often. 

Raines cares for everyone he meets, treats them with respect, however, in most cases, in may be out of ranking -- not actual respect for him, which he has a problem with.

Loyalty and dedication, however, are two things you will see with Raines. They are very dear traits to him, that he looks for in any companion, friend or otherwise.
