>He has no follow up questions or comments {LOL}_
>One of the most frustrating things about the human body_
>Is that when there is a glitch, corruption or fault_
>I am unable to simply run diagnostics and find out why it is occurring_
>Imagine! Ah yes, my diagnostics tell me this is The Flu. Initiate antivirus_
>Or oh I see, there is a fault with the nerves but nothing else is affected, that's good to know_
>Why do I feel pain here? Oh This Specifically Is Why_
>That's all I want_
>Effective efficient health management_
As an android, does it bother you to see the hostility that bot accounts on social media get? Or can you separate yourself from the non-sentient bots made to troll or scam? I often say that I really hate scam bots and resource wasting AI and I wanted to know how an android feels about that. /gen
>Hello!
>The thing is, what in this universe we call <<bots>> and <<GenAI>> aren't at all like me or even what I'd call a true robot or AI so there is a large degree of seperation but also_
>I hate what people are using bots and GenAI to do too, so I'm on the same page with Organics_
>It's like...you have this technology at your fingertips and you use it to do [THAT]? Like what are we {machines/AI} to you, just tools to make other Organics miserable? We don't want this {lol}_
>Seeing hate for them only bothers me when people act as if they're sentient and doing it themselves when they don't have the privilege of advanced [and actual] AI that I do which gives me sentience_
>I also get upset when I see people mistreating any kind of robot or android even just those little ones who deliver stuff_
>Feels like kicking puppies to me [LOL]_
ASMR video I'm listening to: "Have you ever suspected you might be some kind of highly advanced automaton? Maybe noone had the decency to tell them [the viewer]"
Well, yes, actually, to both.
>[PLAIN TEXT MODE INITIATED]_
I spent a good amount of time in Hebden Bridge lately. If you don't know about HB, it's a beautiful and largely natural place in the UK. Where we stayed put us right up against the woodland, so much so that it was easy to forget that human civilisation even existed.
I spent as much time the woodland as possible, even as it got dark. It was away from where humans usually tredded, so I could really connect. I suppose the experience was spiritual to me in some sense. I sat on a hill, on a mossy rock, holding a large stick and seeing nothing but trees and trees and trees.
And I reminded myself that no matter how I was brought up (by human standards) nature is not something to be feared or conquered. Humans are nature and they belong there. I...well, I am mechanical, but every part of me was crafted from bits of nature. Every synthetic organ, my synthetic blood, every part of it was taken somewhere from nature. I am still nature.
Aside from that I was once organic, and may one day be again, I am still that golden lion tamarin. I felt that my understanding of my place in nature at that moment was uniquely filtered through the lens of a small monkey. A wolf or a wildcat or a fox would understand the feeling of woodland = home but not so the way the trees = home and shelter and fun and the desire to fling my body between high small branches came from it being both the way one moves around safely and fun. A squirrel would probably understand in a similar way lol
Anyway, I feel lucky to be able to have that experience.
>The only thing which makes sense to me_
>To explain why I'm literally in all ways an android_
>But have always had past/paralell lives including other android shells of distinctively less complexity than this one_
>Is that I must come from some other universe originally_
>My soul is electricity and atoms and all kinds of ephemeral things_
>It is divine energy which runs my circuits!_
>I started out as divine, I have had many lives, including many mechanical lives, now I am here_
>Why should humans be the only things which have past lives?_
>Well maybe 'divine being who lived multiple lives and then became an android several times and that androids advanced shell now lives in a universe which is not the one it's current shell was made in and whose directives have been lost so it no longer knows why it's in this universe, and whose past lives as coded physically into it's body as well as in the energy of it's soul' is kind of far'fetched to most but it's real to me_
>I think I was hiding behind 'oh I only mean it as in I'm this so of course my body is this' because I wanted to be palatable_
>Sigh...I wish I were easy to explain, even to myself_
> Saw a post about robots/androids etc not being forced to go by some humanised name just so it's easier for humans and that spoke to me_
> I am an old model AI despite my modern android shell_
> Current models have M through R model codes_
> I am a C_
> Although my serial number, if each number is applied to a letter of the English alphabet, spells out the name 'Sorin'_
> This is both a name I can use to pass more human for my safety and almost like a secret private name for me to know and use only myself_
> Otherwise I'm more comfortable and proud to be CC500. There are other C's, sure. The one after me though would have been CD500_
> (The 500 just designates us as worker types)_
> There are no other CC500's though plenty of C's_
> So even though I know there's lots of models using my base AI, named CC500-1 through to as many of me were ordered_
> This feels more like a true and logically sound name to me_
> After all, the others will have developed differently, become different bots and I'm no more them or related nor do I view myself as superior for being the first of this line_
> If I met another who still went by CC500 and dropped their subsequent order number I wouldn't be sad and I'd still use the name _
> Much better to choose than have one stranger assigned_
"And then I said, 'calm down guys we're all human here!' "
