I've been tagged by @sixweekoldhedgehog, thank you ;v; I immediately went and added more to my wip for this so clearly I have been played like a gotdang fiddle.
This was something else. Harsh, comforting in its familiarity. Orders bellowed across a battlefield, not from a leader to his subordinates, but to the beasts he commanded, and Shun was primed to pay attention now, senses sharpened to a needle point because anything less could cost him his life. He barely dared to breathe for fear of missing something beneath the noise. From the corner of his eye he saw Akaba taking his scarf off.
