MACKENZIE you’re such a gift. to be honest im not even a huge clown person like some people are i hate clowns with red noses clowncore does not appeal to me etc. very bright circus patterns hurt my eyes. what I really love and strive to learn more about is commedia dell’arte...!! my beloveds harlequin, columbine, pierrot of course...im fascinated by the sheer age of these characters. a lot of the knowledge we have of their origins is just guessing and there are so so many variations. the story’s influence reaches farther than even i know. there’s a book I found on ebay by chance thats about the history of commedia dell’arte (!!!!!) and you will never guess what’s on the cover it’s the picture of Nijinsky as Petrushka. you should have seen my face i was like sobbing. anyway the book is like multiple hundred dollars because hell is real but all I really needed was to see it. life energy
