Double Hackers
Q was, in fact, hacking. It was his past-time, what he had done since secondary school, and something he was very good at. Sometimes, simply for the fun of it, he would break into the police records and peruse the serial files that might be MI6-worthy.
On this particular day, he was hacking into the train terminals on a job. The problem was, he wasn't the only one.
He began to notice the other's presence when train schedules began re-arranging themselves in a particular fashion. Searching the login times of the train depot, Q found no one online, except for a conductor who - with another quite line of code - he could see in the security camera (and who also happened to be snoozing dutifully at his post).
Odd. So, someone changing train information, but not anyone who should be. He scoured the source code, writing a quick program to find what had been most recently changed. The result came up: the two o'clock train had been delayed half an hour. He changed it back. A virtual tap on the shoulder, if you will. Hello, there. "What are you doing mucking about where you've no right to be?" he muttered, tapping busily away.
