One of the best things we had in Istanbul was a mackerel sandwich. Mackerel in Japan is usually grilled and eaten with just lemon and soy sauce or as sushi. In Istanbul it was served on subway bread with lemon, salt and a staggering amount of onions. Here is @saitaka's wafu take on the Bosphorus Bite.
