I love clouds! They tell us so much. Will it rain? Is there wind coming? Are they good weather clouds? Is there a storm building in the distance? Today, our soon to be 80 years old neighbor Gwen from the pirate boat, a few boats apart from us said: "Don't cast a cloud till May is well out". With her half Irish/Scottish accent it sounded like a fairy tale, although it was only one sentence 😁. Anyhow, picture 1, I took this a few days ago, this cloud attracted my attention and I stared at it for a long time. It is quite different from all the others because the top is very high in the sky; the stratosphere and the lowest part is kilometers away. A very vertically long cloud, I would say... amazing... For the other cloud porn addicts the wikipedia description: Picture 1: A cumulonimbus incus (Latin incus, "anvil") also known as an anvil cloud is a cumulonimbus cloud that has reached the level of stratospheric stability and has formed the characteristic flat, anvil-top shape. It signifies the thunderstorm in its mature stage, succeeding the cumulonimbus calvus stage.
