Gino woke up and put his dressing down on and went downstairs where Chloe was making breakfast.

"Where's Mack?" Gino asked.

"I thought he slept with you last night" Chloe answered.

"And I thought he slept with you as I thought he had come home late" said Gino.

"No I haven't heard from him. I knew this was a bad idea him going off to find Aaron and John" said Chloe. "When we finish breakfast we'll go to the cafe to see if anyone has seen him" said Chloe "I had to have Isla in with me last night coz she was crying for her daddy"

Gino and Chloe made their way to the cafe.

"You two hitched up?" said Meena sarcastically as Gino and Chloe walked in with the three kiddies. "You make a lovely couple" she commented as she drank one of Lewis's Specials coffees.

"Not now Meena" said Gino "Have you seen Mack he never came home last night and we're worried about him"

"Well there is nothing I'd like more than to spend the night with him and give him the ride of his life" Meena giggled. "Goody Two Shoes Victoria is over there with Saint Robert so go ask her"

Gino and Chloe approached Victoria and Robert.

"Have you seen Mackenzie?" Gino asked.

"No I haven't" Victoria replied.

"Then tell us where Aaron and John have gone coz Mack said he was going to track them down to persuade Aaron to stay in the village" Gino explained.

"Well I don't think he'd have much success with that coz Aaron was adamant he was leaving and wouldn't listen to me" said Robert.

"He's not answering his phone" said Chloe "Little Isla is missing her daddy"

"Look we've said we don't know where he is so just do one" said Victoria grumpily.

"Hey that's my daughter you're talking to" said Kerry who had been listening to the conversation.

"I don't want any trouble Kerry" said Nicola.

"Just you keep your neb out Nicola and concentrate on your fancy new menu that boy wonder over there has concocted" Kerry said pointing to Lewis who was collecting the cups in and stamping customers loyalty cards.

"Maybe he's at Moira's" said Robert "I know Moira is up to her eyes and is really busy since we all got together to form the farming cooperative"

"I've rung Moira and he's not there" said Chloe "Something has happened to him"

"He'll be tucked away somewhere with a bottle of whisky celebrating International Whisky day" grinned Robert.

"No I bet that brother of yours knows where he is" said Chloe "The two of you are skanks"

"Don't talk about my brothers like that" said Victoria.

"Well its true they are both tarred with the same brush and Mack is convinced that John is a murdering control freak"

"Take that back" yelled Victoria.

"Well she does have a point" Robert chimed in "There is something creepy about him"

"Robert!" Victoria shouted "What about family loyalty"

"Ok Ok" said Robert.

"Lets go" said Kerry "We are getting nowhere here. I'll move back in with you two to help with the kiddies until Mack comes back. I'm sure Eric won't mind"

"Do you know Mack is right. Robert is as vile as John" said Gino "He bought that field off Moira and was going to sell it to Kim Tate. If Moira has any sense she'll dump Robert"

"Moira's not daft" said Kerry "She can hold her own and if Mack isn't back by tomorrow we will have to call the police"

Mackenzie was in Eric's shop talking to Tracy.

"Do you think Eric is serious about selling this shop?" He asked Tracy.

"Who knows" Tracy replied "If he does I'm out of a job but he is determined to pay Brenda back the money he scammed off her"

"I'm willing to put an offer in above the asking price and you could be the manager Tracy" said Mack.

"Huh I hope not" said Charity who was looking at the wines "He'd turn it into a fish and chip shop and you'd go home stinking of grease"

"Please tell me you wouldn't" said Tracy.

"No of course I wouldn't" said Mackenzie "I'd turn it into an upmarket Delicatessen shop and get some decent wine and cheeses and other delicacies from all over the world"

"Sounds ambitious" said John who had just come into the shop "But it's about time we had a decent choice of luxury foods"

"Have you got any of that curry ketchup Tracy. Aaron loves it on his chips" asked John.

"Yes its over there Eric ordered it in especially" said Tracy.

"I got Aaron into that sauce on his chips" said Mack.

"Yes he did say you did" said John "I'm giving him a treat tonight as he's a bit stressed as he went to see Robert in prison today"

"What?" asked a shocked Mackenzie "Why would he do that"

"Why indeed" said John "Could we have a chat Mack"

"Why would I want to chat to you?" asked Mackenzie.

"Coz we both love Aaron and Robert is getting out soon and that means that we could both be last year's news" said John.

"He'd never choose Robert over me" said Mack trying to hide how upset he was at Robert coming back to the village.

"I went to see Robert today and he told me that they kissed on our wedding day" said John

"He kissed Robert?" said Mackenzie who was in a daze.

"Yes" replied John "We need to get together Mack to stop him"

"You mean to kill him" said Mack.

"Nothing as drastic as that but we need to make sure he leaves the village and never comes back" John explained.

"Why should I help you" asked Mack "You stole my husband off me"

"I know Mack and I also know that Aaron still has feelings for you and if anything happens to me you would step up and take him back" John explained "But if Robert is around that won't happen coz he's so devious"

"Why would anything happen to you?" asked a puzzled Mackenzie

"Well none of us know what is around the corner" John replied feeling paranoid that the the net was closing in on him "I'll meet up with you tomorrow so we can get a plan together"

"Tracy I can't handle it if Robert comes back" said Mack after John left "It would finish me off"

"Come here Mack don't get upset" said Tracy putting her arms around Mack.

"Well, well, well" said Charity suddenly appearing out of nowhere as Tracy and Mackenzie kissed. "So I was right about you getting your claws into Mackenzie you cheating little bitch"

"Where the hell did you just come from. I thought you'd gone" said Tracy feeling uneasy that Charity had caught them kissing.

"Ive been here all the time I was checking out your ready meals and most of them were out of date" said Charity "And I'm surprised at you Mack hitting on Tracy coz she's definitely past her sell by date"

"You cheeky mare" said Tracy.

"You've got this wrong Charity. Tracy was comforting me" said Mack.

"You'll be asking her to move in with you next" said Charity "I can't wait to tell the whole village"

"Say what you want Charity" said Tracy "Everyone knows you fancy the pants off him"

"Well I must admit I've had his pants off a few times" grinned Charity "Which is more than you've done. And tell me how many times did you have Calebs pants off. If it wasn't for you cheating Nate would still be alive"

"Just go Charity" said Mackenzie "I've got other stuff to worry about without worrying about you gossiping"

"I'll tell you what let me have those out of date ready meals for free and I'll keep my trap shut" said Charity

"Whatever" sighed Tracy "My name is in the dog house round here and if you tell the whole village my life won't be worth living"

Kerry and Gino went home from the wedding to find where Mackenzie had gone.

"What the hell are you playing at" said Kerry trying to grab the bottle of whisky Mack was drinking "I thought you were going to stop the wedding"

"I was until Robert turned up" said Mack "I panicked and thought Aaron would choose him over me and John. I couldn't handle it so I left"

"Well for your information the wedding went ahead" said Gino.

"As soon as I saw him I knew Aaron would choose Robert" said Mack tearfully.

"Well you got that spectacularly wrong. He married John" said Gino.

"You are kidding me" said Mack.

"Well if you are right about John forging your signature on the divorce papers they aren't legally married" said Kerry as she gave up trying to get the bottle of whisky off Mack.

"That's not the point" said Mack "Aaron didn't know that and he still married John after all the promises he made to me"

"Aaron was under a lot of pressure from his mum and the rest of the Dingles to marry John" said Gino.

"He's betrayed me" said Mack blubbering as he drank straight out of the whisky bottle "I'll never get over this"

"Are you sure John is capable of all those things you think he's done?" Gino asked.

"Absolutely" said Mack "Meena believes it as well and she's rarely wrong about people"

"Oh for fucks sake not these Meena rantings again" said Kerry.

"Well she was right about Ben not being the one for Aaron" said Mack.

"But that doesn't mean she had to kill him" said Gino.

"Well I don't know how she managed to get out of prison but she should have made herself useful and taken John out" said Kerry "I need to get back to the reception as Chloe and Melanie will be wondering where we are and I need to find out what Kyle was on about and the state your in us three are booking ourselves into the B&B as we don't want to see you spewing and farting all night"

"I'll stay with him" said Gino "Melanie's parents have got the kiddies and are bringing them back tomorrow afternoon so he will have sobered up by then"

"What's all this about Kyle" Mackenzie slurred.

"After John and Aaron drove off on honeymoon Kyle told us they'd found a body in the lake" said Kerry.

"John and Aaron have gone on honeymoon?" said a shocked Mackennzie.

"Yes it was a surprise wedding present for Aaron from John" Gino explained.

"Oh I bet it was" said Mackenzie "Convenient or what just as a body was found. Meena was right then"

"Don't jump to conclusions Mack" said Kerry getting ready to leave "I'll try and find out more"

"I cant believe they've gone on honeymoon" cried Mack leaning on Gino's shoulder "I'll never get over this and if they've gone to Whitby it will kill me"

"Stop thinking like that Mack" said Gino putting his arms around Mack "I'm here for you now and I'll never hurt you like Aaron"

"He's broken me" said Mackenzie taking another slug of whisky.

"Will you stop pacing up and down youre getting on my nerves" said Kerry as Mack paced up an down in the kitchen.

"I can't help it" said Mack "It's the wedding tomorrow and what if it goes wrong and they get married"

"Just do what you said you would do and show John up for what he is" said Chloe.

"And what happens if Robert turns up and Aaron wants to marry him" said Mack "It's driving me crazy. I wish Meena hadn't arranged for him to get out of prison"

"Do you think Meena is telling the truth and Nate is at the bottom of the lake" asked Gino.

"God knows" said Mack "But I'm sorry to say she's usually right"

"Well I don't trust her behind the bar" said Melanie "She could do a mass killing and poison the whole village"

"Only someone as stupid as me could poison the whole village" said Mack.

"You're not still going on about that slurry leak are you?" said Gino "Everyone knows it was an accident"

"Well according to Meena that was no accident" said Mack "She says John was behind it and I wish I could believe her"

"Meena this. Meena that" said Melanie "You sound obsessed with her. Aaron was right he always said you were totally obsessed with her. God knows why"

"Well she's not the kind of person you can argue with" said Mack.

"And God knows how she managed to get released early from prison. It's a mystery" said Kerry.

"Well you heard what she said yesterday" said Chloe "She's had the whole prison service in her knickers"

"The whole village knows that you are well endowed" laughed Gino.

"Has Mandy been showing off again about you and her and your beauty sessions and how much of a handful you are" laughed Melanie.

"No it was Lewis actually" said Kerry.

"Ross's long lost brother" said Kerry "Apparantly he followed you into the gents at The Wooly and came out with a big smile on his face and said you'd made his day"

"Don't be daft" said Kerry "He asked Ross who the big boy was in the bog"

"I wondered why he winked at me when I came out" said Mack.

"Apparantly he's into horticulture so maybe you can show him round your shed at the allotment" laughed Kerry.

"Looking forward to the stag do tomorrow Mackenzie?" Matty asked as he approached Mack who was having a quiet drink in the Woolpack.

"Yes and No" Mack replied.

"What's that supposed to mean?" asked a puzzled Matty.

"Yes because I'll show him up for the liar and imposter he is and No because he thinks he's marrying Aaron and he won't" Mack replied.

"What do you mean he thinks he's marrying Aaron" said Matty "That's all he talks about"

"What's too much information?" asked John "Is this loser still dreaming that he's going to win tomorrow"

"The only dead man round here is you soldier boy" said Mack.

"Will you too stop bickering" said Chas as she collected Mack and Mattys empty beer glasses. "You can take your frustrations out at that paint ball session tomorrow"

"You mean at mine and Aarons stag do" said John winding Mack up again.

"Well you might think its your stag do but your wedding is never going to happen" said Mack.

"Not if you're banged up on our wedding day" said John.

"Is that a threat?" asked Mackenzie.

"Got it in one" John replied drinking his beer up and leaving.

"If I were you Mack I'd have a rethink of what you are really planning tomorrow and just enjoy the fun and games" said Matty.

Mackenzie was waiting anxiously in the shed at the allotment for Aaron.

"Thank God you came" said Mack hugging Aaron "I thought you weren't coming"

"Sorry I'm late. I had to go to the hospital with John coz he's got an interview for a job there" Aaron explained.

"Did he get it?" asked Mack

"Dunno" said Aaron "Mack don't go mad. We went to visit Aiden in the hospital"

"What!" Mack exclaimed "Why?"

"John wanted to introduce me to him" said Aaron.

"Don't you think that's weird" Mack asked.

"A bit" said Aaron "It was a bit of a shock coz it looked like you lying in that bed"

"Did it freak you out?" Mack asked.

"Yes but John freaked me out more coz he said he wants to go ahead with the wedding" Aaron answered.

"Please tell me you said no. Are you and John sleeping together?" Mack asked.

"Not since I went back to him" Aaron explained "He"s in the spare room coz I told him I need a bit of space"

"Thank God for that" said Mack pushing Aaron onto the bed settee in the shed........

"You don't know how much I needed that" said Mack as they both got dressed.

"Someone is at the door" said Aaron pulling his jeans on.

"It's Cain" said Mack looking through the small window.

"What's wrong you look agitated" said Aaron as Mack let Cain in.

"Well apart from the fact that I was stood outside listening to you two at it I'm worried about Nate. I've been ringing and ringing and I've sent God knows how many texts but he's ignored them all until today" Cain explained.

"You got through to him then" said Mack.

"Briefly. But he cut me off" said Cain. "And your mother is out of her mind worrying about Liam getting another head wound"

"I nearly forgot. Swirling said Ella has a cast iron alibi for when Liam was attacked" said Aaron "Mum told me today"

"Well you won't have to look far for the culprit" said Mackenzie "John"

"You really hate him don't you" said Cain "But I must admit I'm not one of his admirers and Chas thinks he's a saint"

"I know she does" said Aaron "She's bought her wedding outfit for our wedding"

"Please tell me you're not going ahead with it Aaron" said Mack.

"Obviously I'm not" said Aaron quietly.

"You don't sound too sure" said Cain. "Anyway I've got to shoot as I'm taking Frankie to your bar for ice cream to celebrate her daddies birthday. Not that I'm happy about the fact that he's left Tracy and Frankie in the lurch"

"I would put Nates disappearance down to John as well" said Mackenzie "I can't stand the bloke"

"Sounds like your jealous of Saint John" smiled Cain.

"Too right I am. He's living with my husband when he should be with me" said Mackenzie.

"Do something about it then instead of you both shagging here behind his back" said Cain as he left.

Gino was helping Kerry organise the kids when Mackenzie stumbled into the cottage.

"Where the hell have you been. Just look at the state of you" said Kerry "We were about to call the police"

"I heard that Anthony wasn't where John said he was so I went to have a look and I ended up at the lake was where the limo crashed" Mackenzie explained just as Gino came in.

"Mack" Gino cried rushing up to him and giving him a hug "I've been out of my mind. What happened?"

"I was by the lake when someone knocked me out from behind and I ended up in an outbuilding at Wylie's farm" Mack explained.

"What werr you doing at the lake?" Kerry asked.

"Meena reckons Nate is in there" said Mack.

"Oh please Mack you can't believe a word she says" said Kerry.

"Anyway I don't want to see another baked bean" said Mack.

"Why?" asked Kerry.

"Coz that's what he fed me on. Cold baked beans" said Mack "And they didn't have any sausages in"

"Tinned beans and sausages" laughed Gino. "Isla's favourite tea"

"Where is she?" Mack asked.

"She's at Lucy's parents with Chloe and the two boys" said Kerry. "The poor little mite was crying herself to sleep every night coz she wanted her daddy. Me and Gino had to have her in bed with us"

"You and Gino in bed together?" said a puzzled Mack.

"We had no choice it was the only way to settle her" said Gino.

"That bed is massive and Gino is definitely gay" said Kerry "More's the pity coz he's hot"

"We had Rory in a cot beside us to do the night feeds to let Chloe rest. She has enough on her plate looking after Reuben" Gino explained.

"To think I bedded the hottest guy in the village and he's gay" said Kerry.

"Well we can get back to normal now" said Mack "And I swear the guy that kidnapped me was John coz he knows I've sussed him out. I didn't see him as he wore a balaclava but it was him allright"

"Their wedding is still on. Your divorce came through apparantly" said Kerry.

"What divorce?" asked Mack "I never agreed to a divorce"

"Aaron came round and showed me the papers" said Gino.

"They are forged obviously" said Mack.

"Aaron is only going on with it too keep John sweet" said Gino .

"How do you know he isn't serious about the wedding?" Mack asked.

"He was round yesterday and I got upset over you and one thing led to another" said Gino feeling guilty.

"You slept with him?" remarked Mack.

"I'm sorry" said Gino.

"Don't be coz it only proves he doesn't love John" said Mackenzie. "I need a bath so I'll see you later but mark my words I'm gonna prove that John is a complete fake"

"Hope that goes well coz everyone round here thinks he's a hero" said Kerry.

"He's no hero and Ella is getting blamed for everything" said Mackenzie.

Mackenzie was making his way to his bar when he saw Tracy approach him.

"Mack have you heard anything from Nate?" asked Tracy "I keep ringing but it's going to voicemail and he hasn't sent me any money for Frankie"

"I've been trying him as well" said Mack "I hope nothing bad has happened to him. I know he upset Caleb before he left"

"You dont think he knows where he is do you?" asked Tracy.

"I doubt it but Caleb doesn"t take to people who cause him trouble" said Mack "I'll make a few enquiries again"

"Again?" said Tracy.

"He was supposed to drop in on my Auntie Maisie and Lawrence on his way up to Scotland but he never turned up" said Mack.

"Please do Mack. I'm desperate to know where he is" said Tracy.

"I can help you out money wise Tracy" said Mack. "If you do a couple of shifts at the bar tonight and tomorrow I"ll pay you double time"

"You dont have to ask me twice" said Tracy reaching up to Mackenzie for a kiss.

"Tracy what are you doing?" Mack said gently pushing Tracy away.

"I'm lonely Mack and I thought you were too" said Tracy feeling embarrassed.

"You're the wife of my best mate Tracy" said Mack.

"I thought you'd be missing female company now that Melanie has gone and Chloe's laid up and Ella's in the nick" said Tracy.

"Ella is innocent" said Mack.

"I kinda thinks so as well Mack" said Tracy.

"I"m looking for staff Tracy. You know we've started doing lunches during the day so there's a promotion on, two meals for the price of one and we are having a bottomless Prosecco night every week end starting tonight" Mack explained.

"Charity is going to love you" laughed Tracy as she saw Charity heading towards them.

"Love him? I'll flaming kill him" yelled Charity. "My business is going down the pan because of you"

"Don't forget I've got a ten percent share in your pub so you'd better come up with some ideas to boost trade" said Mack.

"We can't afford the promotions you do coz we haven't got a half naked sex crazed cocktail mixer bringing the customers in like you have" said Charity.

"Well you could do a little bit of a turn for the customers" said Mack "It's all about entertainment and I'm sure you'd look great in a bunny outfit. It is nearly Easter after all" laughed Mackenzie.

"I'll give you an Easter Bunny Outfit in a minute" said Charity.

"Oh I can't wait" laughed Mack. "Bring it on"

"That's an offer you can't refuse Charity" daid Tracy "Everyone knows you're gagging to get his kecks off"

"And what about you" said Charity "I saw you trying to kiss him"

"Ladies please" said Mack secretly oving the attention he was getting.

"Tracy I think John has something to do with Nate's disappearance" Mack said after Charity went.

"He's a funny one to figure out Mack" said Tracy.
