What if I just started drawing my OCs as though I’ve already written their story...
(Had a lot of weird dreams when I was sick involving these two. I guess I was touched by inspiration?)

Nate: (۞_۞) You’re too far into the crosswalk. You will die in three days.
Al: ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ And in the morning? I’m making waffles!

Some doodles from tonight as I bounce around with excitement from a good week. Ask box open for prompts!
💥 COLLISON, 🌌 MILKY WAY, 🌟 GLOWING STAR for whoever you'd like :V
Thank you for the ask!! I’m going to go with my main three.
💥 What emotions do they have trouble dealing with?
Nate has trouble with ALL of his emotions. He struggles with guilt and resentment for the choices he was forced to make.
🌌 What was the inspiration behind your OC? What was the first thing you decided about them?
So these two haven’t changed much since their first iterations 10 years ago. Nate has always been tired and cranky and Jack has always been boisterous and fun. This really stemmed from how at that time I felt like I had two identities that I put on in the appropriate settings. Being much older now, those initial notes and thoughts have really resonated with me but more in the sense that there are always different pieces rattling around pushing and pulling at each other. Also, I decided from the get go that Jack “borrows” Nate’s face since his memory of his own is pretty foggy.
🌟What do they think about when they look at the night sky? Is there someone they want to gaze with?
Al thinks about his place in the universe and how truly small he is. He wonders if there is ever a way to make himself bigger or how that would even work since the whole solar system is a blip in the night sky. How could he ever really matter? He wishes he could look at the sky with his dog.
Here’s this week’s doodle/warm-up. My boy Nate having a moment. Despite how cranky and tired I always draw him, I like to imagine he’s super expressive when speaking especially when he’s being sarcastic.
