NAAAAAAADDDDDDDDIA. I feel so, SO blessed to have you back on my dash. I have really missed you and your muses. You are, without a doubt, one of the most creative people I have met on here and piecing together AUs with you is always a blast. Our Cora/Charming one will ALWAYS slap. And I love when Cora gets to be stepmom to Neal in any context. I also HIGHLY appreciate you adding your historical muses, mainly for very selfish reasons. Bottom line is, you are that Lady Gaga gif listing all the amazing qualities and I hope you have a lovely birthday, even if you're spending it alone. <333
Neal is a begrudging stepson. I love all of our AUs though. And you are actually just fantastic. I've been around just on a totally different dash and blog so. But I will always add muses you need to write against. Always. <3

Dacian was quiet as he rested in his cell. He'd been given a reprieve from his torture and humiliation. He'd heard bits and pieces of what's going on. The Queen herself was in town. He didn't care. That information wouldn't save him, he felt. The door to the jail clicked and he looks up. He shifted his weight as he moved closer to the door to see what's going on. He winces with the movement.
Another guard. Of course. There was somebody with him, but he couldn't see very well in the dim light. "I already told you. I'm no satanist. Nor am I giving names towards the rest of my coven. Starting to think you just like watching me suffer." He moved back away from the door, to lay back on his makeshift bed.
The footsteps continued as he rests. Finally they were in front of his cell and stopped. He looks up from where he laid and gets up. The Queen herself. He could tell just by looking at her. He gets to his knees, bowing his head. He couldn't go much further due to his injuries. "Good evening, your highness.."

Moonlight casts its silvery gleam upon a bowed head, auburn curls limned in such a way that it almost seems as if their fire is cooled by its glow, the absence of the ever-present golden crown sharp and unsettling to one who rarely ever sees her without it. He stands nearby, a silent sentinel the only witness to these moments of stark vulnerability, his gaze encompassing all but judging none - it is not his place to do so, after all. His loyalty is bound to this woman who bears the burdens of a nation upon slight shoulders, his role to protect, to serve...and to watch her fall apart from time to time without a word.
Not this time.
“You deserve better.” The words spill from his lips before he can bite them back, the sentiment one he’s long held but never spoken aloud before now. Storm-blue eyes remain fixed upon the horizon even when he can feel her gaze upon him, and he squares his shoulders almost imperceptibly in response, his voice softer now despite the sharp set of his jaw. “Forgive me, your highness.”
catherine vc: *plucks cigarette out of marcus' mouth* i won't have you teaching our daughter bad habits.
@madameserpent liked for an elisabeth de valois starter !!
“ of course i merely came because i wished to see you, mother, what else would i be here for? ” it was not a lie, for elisabeth did frequently seek out her parents just for the sake of it, rarely having an ulterior motive other then wishing for some affection. that said, it now happened to coincide with her lessons, which she had escaped rather quickly despite her tutor’s many protests and it was one of the few instances where she abused her own status. “ ... and maybe i had lessons with mary. which i did not like. ” it was not that elisabeth particularly disliked the scottish princess, she felt not much regarding the girl at all, but it was exhausting to have to share lessons and her tutors fawn all over her whilst telling her mary was someone she should strive to be like. especially since they were a few years apart.

“Catherine,” she says. Jane rarely calls the queen by her own name--can think of only once or twice before that she might have dared. There are rules for these sorts of things, rules that even Jane cannot but follow; it would be a dangerous thing indeed to navigate this world--for court is its own world, compact, within the larger one--without them. Her brow pinches, a low exhale escaping.
She understands that Catherine is much troubled in love. Women often are. Not knowing what it is to love, having had choice taken from them, or fearing the significance of such love, whether it might displease their God or their father or their conscience. Jane knows it has been a different, a lucky thing, for her to go through life so untethered in this way. She has not slipped the bonds of being a woman, not entirely, but she has had her freedom, to be who she will, to love whom she will, in her own private way.
“I have waited for you,” she says at last, simply. “I cannot... Force you. It is for you to decide. Whether or not you will allow yourself to have what you want.”
meta on richard and prophecies
honestly it really annoys him that people keep bringing up prophecies with him. (especially that there are so many about him. like the man is just trying to live and keeps having to save the world, he’s tired) but trying to fulfill a prophecy, (or to avoid it which tends to end up with the same result of prophecy fulfillment) richard’s whole thing is free will and living your life how you choose to and what have you, and prophecy basically does away with that, according to him. there’s actually a really good quote from faith of the fallen that i think perfectly sums up how he feels about them
“Prophecy can only say that tomorrow the sun will come up. It can’t say what you are going to do with your day. The act of going about your day is not the fulfillment of prophecy, but the fulfillment of your own purpose.“
send me a topic to write a meta about my muse on ;; always accepting ;; @madameserpent
