Kate sprinted across the room to Anthony. He’d been tied up, his arms stretched above his head as he hing limply. Viper had done a number on him, and Kate knew it was her fault. He was bloody and bruised, and Kate wasn’t even sure if he was alive.
The archer grabbed one of her arrow heads when she got to him, starting to use it to cut the ropes. He was cut loose and fell into Kate’s arms. “Anthony, Anthony please.” She shook the man an he started to stir. In the heat of the moment, Kate pressed a passionate kiss to his lips.
“Come on, baby. Come on. We need to-” Viper’s laugh cute her off, and Kate didn’t even look back to see her. Anthony hadn’t said a word, and she moved him so he was using her as a crutch. “I need you to help me.” She said to him, starting to move away from where Viper was. It was a foolish plan, but she just needed him safe.
She couldn’t fail.
