So, I've kind of mentioned this a little bit but as long as nothing drastic happens, the pups and I will be moving into a house the first part of next year. And now that the walls are up it's starting to look like a house. I'm so excited! The pups are going to love their fenced in backyard. Luna will be ecstatic when I put her bird feeder back up 😂.
Got some grass growing. All this rain has been good for that at least. I could do without the mud though. I'm going to have sooo many paw prints throughout the house once the dogs are in the house 😂.
Just got out of my meeting with the contractor. I'm feeling very hopeful and optimistic that this is right choice for me. He's supposed to get drawings drawn up for me to approve to go forward. If everything goes well, I may be moving in as early as January.
Meeting with a contracter next week about discussing building a house instead of buying. He's pretty confident he can build a new one to my needs for 200k or less. Which many of the already built homes in my area are like 250k+ and are minimum of 20 years old. Plus most are really bigger than I need. So fingers crossed 🤞 that it works out like I'm hoping. I am both extremely excited and very nervous.
House hunting is both interesting and very nerve-racking. It's a constant fight between my desire for a house and my dislike of change. So far the houses in my area are either wildly outside my budget, in the floodplain, or need major expensive repairs. Doesn't help that it also looks like I'll be needing to get a new vehicle sooner rather than later. Being an adult is hard 😭.
Luna is determined to give me grey hair 😭. She flung herself out of my cousin’s arms and must have landed wrong. She started crying and favoring her foreleg. After a quick vet visit we’re pretty sure it’s just a soft tissue injury and not anything too serious. I swear this dog has no fear when it comes to heights and has the wiggling skill of an eel. But of course, she does this right after I spent all my money on new tires for my car. Thankfully my mother cares about my dogs as much as I do and was able to lend me the money for the emergency vet visit.
Alice is 5 already and I don’t like it 😭.
