She knew most of the other students, and had for years, since middle or even elementary school, and they knew her just as well, well enough to know that things with Madison Rocca rarely changed that much. Or, well, they hadn’t, year over year, until now. Until something in the summer changed her, and now she was almost as focal to the rumor mill as Nick.
