Crash and burn || Lacey & Maddie

Lacey felt sick as she sat in the waiting area for visiting hours to start. Obviously she’d gotten here way too early and the nurses were all idiots who didn’t want to let her in even half an hour early. She’d passed the time counting the ceiling tiles and trying not to think so much but it was hard. She couldn’t stop her mind going crazy. When she was finally allowed in (a little earlier than expected so she took back her bad thoughts about the nurses) she rushed into the room. Lacey wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. “Oh, Maddie!” She exclaimed, feeling bad seeing her friend in this place. She twirled the end of her hair like she did when she was nervous and then moved over to the chair beside her bed, biting her lip. “Hey...” She tried to smile and make it convincing, not really wanting to ask are you okay?, because that seemed too insensitive.

Coffee Company | Maddie & Kelly

Kelly had been surprised as she got the invitation to be a bridesmaid earlier. She wasn't that kind of girl who freaked out about something like this. Sure, it was nice when people loved each other and that all, but Kelly just couldn't find the cheery girly girl in herself. Especially not this days. And the thought to be bridesmaid with Hannah Clarkson who was constantly just bitching and Alicia Porter who was annoyingly stupid. So she was glad Maddie was one to. She was one of the rare people Kelly could really stand. She was okay and Kelly could talk to her and of course there was more to it... Kelly had something from -A about Maddie, so she wanted to find out what that had to do with Annie. A newspaper clipping of Maddie's fathers death, hidden in a box underneath her bed. 

Kelly sighed and stood up to get down. It was nice out and she had spend the last days mostly high in her room so she needed a bit of fresh air. She walked down the stairs, her father was not home, probably working. He was the last one Kelly needed right now. He was all moody.. no not moody, just generally a grumpy person. Her mother was probably working too, so unless Kane didn't decide to show up suddenly she was alone. She opened the front door and sat down on the little bench they had out on the porch, watching the quiet street to wait for Maddie with the really needed coffee.
