Maddisun brings forth the indie pop and country rock vibes with her new album “Home is Where the Music is”
On August 26, 2022, Canadian singer-songwriter Maddisun released her new album, a ten-track recording. The album starts out with a gentle intro named “Home”, and proceeds to transition to more powerful melodies and more lyrically expressive tracks like “Don’t Say No”. Her vocals throughout the album and raw and heartfelt, and show the true range of her voice. If we had to pick a favorite track off the album it would easily be either “Fading or “True Me”. “Fading” reveals yet another side of Maddisun, with a strong country influence. The song is emotionally powerful, as it sings about relationships failing due to a lack of love from others. The message we got from the track was that no matter what happens, you must love yourself because you will always be there for you. “True Me” is a track that focuses heavily on self-love. In this track, Maddisun sings about stepping outside your comfort zone and finding your strength from within. We can’t wait to see what’s next from this rising star!
