It hadn’t been hard to miss Maddox moping around the festival ---- she can’t say she blames him much, having seen Sutton making eyes and being friendly with a certain ATF agent. It doesn’t really mean anything but Rowan can understand Maddox’s feelings toward the whole thing, had she been in his shoes while Andy got cozy with someone else, she’d be feeling the exact same. So after Benny inevitably decides it’s time to go home with nana and start counting sheep, Rowan makes a point of seeking out her friend. “You look like my dad,” she points out when she finds him, nose scrunching as she lifts an index finger to flick at the fake police badge on his chest. “I’ve got ride tickets with your name on them and I’m not takin’ no for an answer.”
