Madei: If there's a Tooth Fairy, are there fairies for other bones aswell?

Madei: Maybe I should ask Uncle Hidan.

Obito: He might know.

Madei: I'll be back, Daddy! I need answers!!!

Madei: Daddy, I know why you can't go to work!

Obito: Hmm? Why's that?

Madei: Because your wrist is very very hurt. You can't write for any of your paperworks!

Obito: Mmm... I could write with my other hand?

Madei: Nuh-uh. You can't!

Obito: Oh?

Madei: Because you have to hold my hand, so you know that you will be okay, and that I'm always here for you!

Obito: ... You're right. *gently holds her hand* That's much better than any work I could do.

Deidara, bored with the casual talk with the Akatsuki, turns to little Madei, Tobi's daughter who's staying in the Akatsuki since her mother is... no longer alive. He watches her paints a mask, and covers it with glitter. "Whatcha doin, hm?" He asks, and she looks up at him shocked that he spoke to her. All the other members ignore her, or push her around and call her mean names. She's not used to being talked to so nicely. "I- I'm painting one of Papa's spare masks..." she speaks with a small stutter, showing Deidara her progress. Orange and pink paint and glitter are covering her hands, but there's no mess on her clothes or the floor. She's careful with her strokes and where she puts the glue for the glitter. "Why's that?" Deidara smiles softly as her eyes light up while she explains. "Papa's normal mask is almost broken, and it's kind of boring, so I asked if I could decorate one of his spares... and he said yes! I didn't want to go too different, though... so I put little pink hearts everywhere so he always has my love, and put glitter on the orange so his mask is almost as outstanding as he is!" "I think he'll like it, hm..." "You think so??" Deidara nodded, watching with interest when she put the mask down and turned to clean hee hands with baby wipes. Suddenly, two small arms were wrapped around him. "Thank you, mister Deidara!!"

Deidara: ... Why do you like your Papa so much, hm?

Madei: Because he's awesome! And he's super nice and caring, and he's strong and powerful and really really smart! And he saved me from my mommy!

Deidara: What do you mean by saved?

Madei: Mommy used to hit me, and yell at me and throw things at me a lot. She'd leave me alone in stores and make me sleep without a blanket... then Papa found out and took me here so she couldn't hurt me!

Deidara: That... is pretty awesome.

Madei: I love my Papa. He gets really sad sometimes, and I always try my hardest to make him happy again. He says that feeling sad is okay... and that's it's good to let things out... but I don't like seeing him sad...

Deidara: He is right...

Madei: I know! My Papa knows a lot, and he shares all his cool facts with me!

Deidara: I'm starting to like your Papa a lot more, hm.

Madei: Good! Papa needs a friend! He says that my love is all he needs... but I'm scared I'll run out of love and he won't get enough...

Deidara: Don't worry. I'll... I'll be his friend.

Madei: And give him lots of love?

Deidara: Y- yeah... I will.

Madei: Thank you, Mister Deidara! But don't try and take my afternoon naptime and cuddles away! You'll have to find your own cuddle time!!

Deidara, blushing a little: Got it, hm.

Madei: May I ask you a question, Mister Deidara?

Deidara: Sure, hm.

Madei: Will you be my new mommy? I don't like my old mommy... she's mean and doesn't act like a mommy!

Deidara: How about... we see what your Papa thinks before that sort of choice is made, hm?

Madei: Okay! We can talk to him when he gets home! Right?

Deidara: Yeah... we'll ask him. *smiles softly*

Madei: Yayyy!

Madei: Yuemi?

Yuemi: Madei??

Madei: Yuemi!

Yuemi: Madei!!!

Madei: *hugs Yuemi tightly* I missed you!

Yuemi: *hugs back just as tight* I missed you too!!!

*the two girls laugh and giggle, catching up on what has happened*

Hidan: *looking up at Obito, half scared* ... heh... heheh... yeah... pleasedon'tkillme.

Obito: I would never. It'd hurt my Madei too much. And Deidara as well. Besides, I'm getting used to your company.

Hidan: ... Huh... interesting...

Madei: Daddyyy!!! Can Yuemi come over for a sleepover? Or can I have a sleepover with Yuemi???

Obito: That's not my decision to make, Madei. You'll have to ask Hidan.

Madei: Oh! Right right right.

Madei: Excuse me, Mister Hidan? Would it be okay if Yuemi came over to my house, or I come stay with Yuemi, for a sleepover?

Yuemi: Pretty please, Daddy?

Hidan: I don't see why not.

Madei and Yuemi: Yes!!! *run off to play a little before the sleepover*

Hidan: You sure you're okay with this?

Obito: It's Madei's friend, Madei's decision. I won't deprive her of a choice that is her own. All I request is my daughter to safely be returned home, or whatever allergies and dislikes your daughter has so I can avoid them.

Hidan: You're a really good dad, yknow? It's surprising too... considering the whole starting a war and killing millions of people thing.

Obito: Madei doesn't need to know of that... I try to avoid bringing anything from my past up. She's nine, she shouldn't have to have that image of her father in her head.

Hidan: I feel that one. Yu doesn't even know Jashinism is a thing... it pains my heart to think that one day... she'll find out how shitty of a person I am.

Obito: That's not who you are, Hidan.

Hidan: Huh?

Obito: You were young, doing stupid things experimenting, getting into trouble and picking fights. Most young adults do that. Deidara sure as hell did it, but it doesn't make him a bad person. Just like it doesn't make you a bad person.

Hidan: Killing people doesn't make you a bad person?

Obito: In this world, Hidan... everyone has killed at least once. Some continue it without reason, some do it for fun... but those who choose not to redeem themselves, or move on from their past and grow into something better, those are bad people, and that's not you, Hidan.

Hidan: ...

Obito: ...

Hidan: *lets out a choked sob*

Obito: A-ah, I didn't mean to do that. My apologies-

Hidan: *hugs Obito tightly* Th... thank you...

Obito: ... You're... welcome... *pats Hidan's shoulder awkwardly, not used to the contact*

Hidan: You're the best, man. I'm so fucking glad you're my brother in law.

Obito: I... share those sentiments.

Hidan: Fuckin love you, dude.

Obito: Please get off me now.
