when she started speaking he didn’t expect it to end like that.
why did hearing such a thing hurt him so much? it was something which should have been true but… the anger in him had been bubbling up from the moment she went silent. there was no way in hell that was true at all. his hands were shaking and they turned into fists– his fingernails dug deep into his palms.
subaru knew he didn’t have a way with words, he was fully aware he came off disinterested yet he kept yui close as of late. he reluctantly admitted to himself that he was charmed by her. perhaps it was for his blood he started to have interest in her for but the more he saw and experienced the more he fell for yui herself.
subarus patience finally snapped. he had punched the wall nearby her, causing it to shake. his had expression darkened. “if that’s what you think then fine. tomorrow, and the next day after that– I won’t see you.” he growled out in frustration. “go be a nuisance to someone else.” he pushed her away and had walked off.
she let out a shaky breath, dropping her head and nervously pulling a hand up to her eye. she should have known better than to expect him to return her feelings in any matter. she should have known her place. food, at best, personal prey.
she just couldn’t help feeling the way she had- despite his rough personality and often violent actions, the scarce times he had been kind had honestly stirred feelings in her she had never expected for the vampire.
keep your mouth shut, keep your mouth shut-
“i-i’m sorry. for.. for being a nuisance-”
she would do it. she would stay away from him for as long as she could.
