Lantern
Today I created a Lantern in maya (also a dodgy looking arm/hand), it’s an asset for the new game I’m producing for the narrative design unit of study at AIE. I won’t lie this lantern has a fair amount of tris, but being an object in front of the player for majority of the 60sec vertical slice it’ll be fine. I then added it to Unity and created a simple animation for it, I also added an area light with its own animation. I still need to add a particle effect for the flame inside the lantern but that will come later on when I plan on focusing on the particle effects of the level. Currently just focusing on creating the meshes/3d models of the game.
