Thanks for the Shrimp Marinara, Chef Silvio of Cafe Allegre in Madison
Found: Grace Schaefer of North Branford wrote, “My family and I went to Cafe Allegre, (725 Boston Post Road in Madison, www.cafeallegre.com) for Sunday dinner. All of the entrees were superb, but we would like the recipe for the shrimp in mild marinara sauce over linguine. It was not sweet and tasted fresh — to the point where we think it would go well with any fish (as well as) calamari. As an aside, when they found that we were celebrating my birthday, they gave us a small Happy Birthday bottle of Champagne. It was a very nice gesture.” Aside from the restaurant, Chef Silvio Suppa also runs The Inn at Lafayette for those needing overnight accommodations in Madison. Planning a wedding or banquet? WoodWinds in Branford has the ability to host up to 600 guests. Grace, take out your pasta pot and get boiling, because Chef Silvio was willing to share his recipe. For more of his recipes check out his “Cooking With Chef Silvio,” $24.95. To see the rest of this column and recipe, please click on this link.
