Dear Editor
Regarding your blog post about the dropout rate at Madison Media Institute I don’t believe that the dropout rate is due to funding. I think the reason that many students are dropping out from the school is because they don’t have the skills to continue further. They are lacking the drive that pushes us student’s that are here putting in effort to succeed and do great things. I currently go to Madison Media Institute and I’m just starting my bachelor’s degree. Haven’t chosen to dropout because of money or anything. Also, did you take account for how many students drop out from UW? I’ve heard there dropout rate is a bad as Madison Media Institute why didn’t you mention them? It would be great if the state would have something to help out students with private schools that cost so much. But there really isn’t. We have to work hard and keep working hard to get what we want in this kind of industry. This school might be expensive but I think the students take in the connections and the people they meet. If you work hard and a teacher sees that they want to help you get a job and help you succeed. In conclusion, I feel like you need to investigate further into the dropping out rate in Madison Media before you decide to go blaming it on the going rate to go to this school. Also, for the students if you are pursuing a career don’t go into a career unsure just wait till you think you are ready. Save yourself the time and money of struggling with school debt. http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/local/education/university/high-dropout-rates-the-norm-at-many-for-profit-colleges/article_11f6419e-ddae-502c-bb75-3a11532ae234.html
