As the Doctor rambled, Kilgrave stared blankly at him. He was lounging on the sofa, giving off signals that he wasn’t interested in what the other man had to say to him. “If you’re so desperate to know, I’d say that I’ve had these abilities for a while. A pretty long one actually. I think of it as these abilities being thrusted upon me for a reason,” he answered slowly. “And that reason alone being to survive.” He paused and let their shared silence to follow through a little longer for his words to sink in. “Now that I’ve told you this, you do know that you’re going to have to make yourself forget everything you heard from me. Unfortunately I can’t simply tell people to forget things. Remnants always lie in the mind. I hope your skull isn’t too hard so the process can go a little more quicker, and perhaps less painfully.”
