Monstrous Sculptures
I saved these asks up to post together because it was hilarious to me that I posted a monstrous sculpture and got these, in order, unbroken by any other asks :D

Not at the same scale in terms of size, but surpassing all the odd hybrid animal sculptures this far in terms of creepiness, check out Rona Pondick's Otter. It's in a sculpture garden that I absolutely love, but I tend to block out that it's there until I'm about 6 feet away and start to feel creeped out and then remember what I'm about to encounter.
Well, this is all very Fullmetal Alchemist.
[ID: An image of a metallic sculpture in an outdoor setting; it has the legs, lower body, and tail of an otter standing upright, but during the torso the creature changes into the shape of a human, with otterlike arms but a fully human face that looks extremely depressed to be there.]
ifiknewiwouldtellyou asked:
It's not as horrifyingly infuriating as Posankka, but have you seen the Vancouver cat butt sculpture? I have yet to determine whether its appearance is intentional or not.
I had a google and all I could find was this one, which I imagine is what you’re talking about but which Redditors have identified as a dog butt sculpture:
[ID: A large wooden sculpture outside of a grocery store; it looks from this angle like the back end of a domestic pet who is digging in a pile of stones. It is mostly black and features an uplifted tail, under which is a pale circle with a dot in the middle, which does make it look like the butt of a cat or dog. Veterinarians are invited to comment on which it might be.]

On the subject of potentially upsetting sculpture, look up Homunculus loxodontus (aka Zhdun) by Margriet van Breevoort.
Supposedly this embodies the emotions of people waiting in doctors’ offices but I’m pretty sure it’s just a straight up muppet left over from the original Star Wars trilogy.
[ID: An outdoor sculpture of a blobby grey humanoid being; instead of legs it simply has a large mass of flesh on which is propped its folded human hands. It has relatively thin arms leading up to slumped, nonexistent shoulders; instead of a human head it has two large dark eyes set on the side of its head and a round snout like an elephant seal.]
If you have weird sculptures to share, please remember to reblog or comment with them, as I’m happy to see them but I don’t post asks sent in response to other asks.
