OK so art trades are still a thing :D That makes me happy, CAUSE HERE’S ONE RIGHT NOW
My good friend Laura (@madrosekai) and I decided to do something called a “Style trade”!! It’s actually based off another ancient trade we made where we mimic each other’s styles, but this time we flipped it over and redrew each other’s pieces in our own style! This thing took me waaaaay long to complete, and I finished it in late october :’D

Please go check out Laura’s stuff, she’s got an absolutely radical imagination and conveys it elegantly yet playfully through her art!! 💖 💖 💖

I’ve heard of people makin’ some cash with this app called Feature Points. Some people here on tumblr use it and even recommend it! It might be worth looking into. :)
Could that app be used for the computer? I uh don't have a cell phone er more correctly cell phones don't work that well around here unless they're more expensive. Some of the cheaper ones work with wireless internet but that's literally it.
Okay sooo... I got tagged by Vox to list 10 books that have stuck with me through the years.
Buuuut here's the thing; I don't read. It's regrettable because I know this has made me miss out on a lot of amazing stories, but unless I really sink into a book I find sitting down and reading to be very stressful.
So instead, I'm going to list a mix of my 10 favourite stories regardless of media; books, movies, picturebooks, games, manga, songs, you name it, in no particular order.
This is gonna be hella long so I'm putting it under a read-more.
The people I tag are: Laura, Frisky, Sann, Kyuu, Fuzz, Andi, Shaun, Millie, Master, Jelly, Tina, Nekro
That's actually more people than I intended to tag but w/e let's do this shit
1. Emma by Kaoru Mori - My weeb stage never fully bloomed as violently as many other's, and I'm glad it didn't or I might have not fully appreciated the work of art that is "Emma", and merely seen it as another manga. This series is the only one I refused to part with when I moved out; as a huge fan of romance and diverse female representation, this manga was a huge hit with me, and I still don't tire of reading it.
2. Brothers – A tale of two sons by Starbreeze – An amazing piece of work I played no more than two, three weeks ago. Without a single understandable line of dialogue, the story and characters captured me immediately and brought me to tears. It left me miserable yet fulfilled for hours after it messed up my mascara.
3. Hidden by Liza Marklund – A horrifying tale of a woman who flees from her possessive ex-boyfriend and his group of friends who constantly harass her, their daughter, her son and her current husband. She experiences the irony of the situation, having once helped fleeing immigrants to settle into Sweden while living in dreadful environments to stay hidden, only to find herself having to do the same. It is based on a true event.
4. Bastion by SuperGiant Games – As an aspiring game artist there is nothing more satisfying to my eyes than a wonderful art direction and design. Bastion’s characters, environments, dialogue and tense moments that left me shaking became an extremely memorable experience that inspired me to become not only a better artist, but to always try to look at things from different perspectives.
5. Cirque du Soleil – It was a performance I witnessed on my 19th birthday; my mum and I had decided to use the Christmas money our uncle gave us to treat ourselves to a trip to the four star hotel Savoy in Malmö, and go see Cirque du Soleil live. I don’t think we’ve ever had such luck either; once we were there, we had such trouble finding our seats that we asked someone for help- he seemed stressed and brought us to the front rows. He sat us down, told us “If someone gives you trouble, just get me.” And there we were. Close to the stage, every detail visible, and it was magic. I don’t think there is any better feeling in the world than seeing the performance shine and glimmer with magic like when you were a child.
6. The walking dead by Telltale Games – Do I even need to talk about this FUCKING GAME. IT’S RUINED ME, I WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.
7. Skyrim by Bethesda – This seems ridiculous, right? Naw son. Skyrim was the first game I started taking seriously. I got attached to my character Skurai and I’ve developed her massively since I first put in her details in the character creation window. This game helped me overcome my fear of going into caves and fighting bears and spiders; weren’t it for how fucking OP I was in Skyrim I woulda never played Dragon’s Dogma or Bioshock.
8. Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen by Capcom – This fucking game. I don’t know why it is that it’s really grown on me; maybe it’s the incredibly well developed NPCs that you sometimes pity or admire but can’t interact with beyond dialogue. Perhaps it’s how your followers beg for you not to die and leave them. How they shout “Stand up!” or wave a hand in front of your face when you’ve stood still for a long while. Maybe it’s the mission where you need to rescue your damsel in distress and my lesbian arcane warrior gets to carry her bridal style out of the fort. MAYBE IT’S HOW YOU NEED TO CLIMB ON THE ENEMIES TO KILL THEM. Idk but man I love that game.
9. Winnie the Witch – I can’t remember the author right now and I’m too lazy to look them up, but Winnie the Witch was a picture book I read a lot as a child. With a whacky artstyle, charming stories and characters, it was a treat for me as I was kid who mostly spoke English. I don’t think I’ll ever find a book quite like it.
10. My own stories.
This includes the ones I’ve collaborated with others. Yes, this means RPs that have bloomed from old crack events into full blown, heart tearing stories that have made me shake by the keyboard and hindered me from writing because I’ve needed a moment. I never thought I would be passionate or even interested in writing until I participated in it with other people.
madrosekai replied to your post:Gotta love how when you’re looking for your own...
Awww, I’m so sorry to hear that, Steph dear! *hugs* :c I wish you luck with your searching. It’s never easy, but I hope you find a nice li’l place to call your own! The fact that you’re working hard to find a place is in itself fantastic. c:
*Hug* Thank you and I know and it's even harder now because of how mom said "I need you more than you need me" and " I love all my girls but you're the one that I heavily rely on you and if it wasn't for you I don't know where I'd be" earlier, it just makes me feel extremely guilty plus every place I look at and show her she's like "I don't like that room, it's too small for me" or "I don't like that layout" and things along those lines.
