Ve lo ricordate lo stadio di Yaoundè. Si quello stadio non altri, quello intitolato a Paul Biya il presidente del Camerun.
Lo stadio Paul Biya è un impianto sportivo di Yaoundé, in Camerun, a tempi record è stato costruito e consegnato dall’impresa Italiana Maeg costruzioni ed ha ospitato la prima partita della Coppa Africa.

La Maeg costruzioni è un’altra delle eccellenze che vanta l’Italia nel settore delle costruzioni. Lo testimoniano le moltissime opere fatte in altre parti del mondo ad esempio lo stadio Al Wakrah costruito in Doha, in Qatar.
L’impresa di Vazzola firma anche lo stadio di Yaundè, in Camerum da 65mila posti.
“Questo impianto ha una tipologia a tensostruttura, una metodologia che impiega cavi e tiranti pretensionati – sottolinea ancora l’imprenditore trevigiano – una soluzione che abbiamo proposto anche per altri stadi europei”.
L’esterno sarà rivestito da scaglie in pvc con i colori della nazionale e il complesso comprende anche un centro commerciale, un hotel, palestre e piscine. Un’operazione che vale circa 40 milioni di euro per Maeg.
Il Camerun dispone anche di altri 5 stadi e di molte altre infrastrutture, come autostrade, ponti, porti sicuri come quello di Kribi in cui un’impresa può investire in zona extra doganale Tax Free e poi espandere le proprie merci in tutti gli stati africani.
Ancora una volta la Repubblica del Camerun si dimostra un partner affidabile per gli investitori esteri interessati ad espandere i propri affari in Africa Centrale.

I haven’t formally written anything up about the Maeg yet because I don’t have any major characters who belong to their culture but here are some things I love about them:
They’re the main Miragari (dominant species of the Sol Vesta system) ethnic group that immigrates regularly to Basilea--displaced due to political instability around their ancestral home. Unlike some of the other Basilean species minorities I talk about, a lot of them have basically embraced the nation’s mainstream, but they still hang on to some important parts of their culture, especially their language, religion, and certain elements of their traditional dress style.
The have super long necks and often cover them with elaborate jewelry. Their hair is so fine that when it’s worn down, it floats like a spiderweb. It’s common for them to wear it gelled and braided to keep it out of the way, but on formal occasions the billowing, lighter-than-air styles come out.
Their cultural religion is henotheistic, they think everyone else’s goddesses exist, they just think theirs is the best and people from their world are best off worshipping only her. The refugees in the Rings have developed specific variants on their traditions to adapt to the distance between them and their system, which they believe is sacred to her.
A group of Maeg teachers pooled together to campaign to get their language--Sedmagi-i, which is spoken in different dialects by a bunch of other east-equatorial Miragari cultures--taught as a second language in many primarily-Altamaian-speaking schools and childcare spaces, which opened up a lot of avenues for equalistic cultural exchange that would never have existed without their efforts.
Miragari see color a bit different from Basillans and the Maeg tend to have high-contrast and high-pattern--some might say clashy, but that’s not how it looks to them--schemes of decoration.
Their world has a really long day-night cycle and air that’s toxic to many other species. Most Miragari householders in the Rings keep a few space helmets around for non-Miragari guests so they can have the nice homeworld style air circulating, and you can often find Maeg-run shops and stuff open in the wee hours of the night--but only at certain times of the week.
Also it’s pronounced like May-ahg, their vowel system is kinda tough to write in english
