Henlo :3💗💗💗 Truthfully I’m still in a pickle of finding motivation ever since those rude anons messed with my head and I’ve lost focus. HOWEVER, I’ve been really in the mood to write and pick it up again this week. Chapter 4 is actually ready but is missing the last bit. And after chapter 5 I’m gonna have to rewatch eps to get back on track. It’s no one’s fault but mine. I shouldn’t have let people bother me so I apologize to those waiting.

I know a lot of people dislike httyd 3, will you be rewriting hyttd 3 in a way that deviates from canon or will it stay relatively the same?

I have a real love-hate relationship with that movie. I adore it at first, but then I despise the way it wraps up—because in the real world, wiping out entire species (dragons in that movie came in different types/species for example) wouldn't just fix everything; it'd probably wreck the ecosystem completely the longer you think about it. It's those small details that bug me the most. That said, I'll be handling the writing true to the film, and even though I haven't started on the plot yet, I already know how Maelstrom concludes and everything that leads up to it. I'll stay true to the story with my own surprises, just like I have so far with the first film, and now the tv series etc—but with my own flare as you've seen.

I had question from about a month and a half ago where I asked whether the 2nd book of maelstrom is all about the Httyd show while the 3rd book would be about the 2nd movie of httyd. I just wish to confirm since I am a bit confused.

Oh, I'm so sorry! I just checked through my inbox and don't see any questions like that ;; I don't have but 5 in my inbox and those were requests I haven't gotten to. I would've answered it right away but to get straight to your question, yes, the 2nd book is strictly for the show(s)/side httyd stuff. Book 1 = HTTYD movie 1 Book 2 = HTTYD show(s), specials Book 3 = HTTYD movie 2 Book 4 = HTTYD movie 3 (and final) Thank you so much for the question, I hope this explains it well sorry for my confusion 💗

sifting being older and bigger than toothless now gives me the mental image of him looking at reader and going "this child is mine now" before picking her up by the scruff and walking away

EXACTLY. He's going to be just like that :3 In B2:C1 he covers her in his wing like a protective dad 🥺 He's already adopted her 😔💗

But now I can't get the image of him picking her up like that like a mother and her kitten 🤧💗💗💗 I couldn't find a cat carrying her kitten, so I went for the Mando (Siftwing) carrying baby Grogu (MC) 😔💗 Because I just realized this is EXACTLY how they're going to be 😭😭

Also Siftwing with all the kids he has to babysit . . .
