I have a confession to make.
Baenyra is life. Yes. Absolutely. Of course.
Baelor is so soft-spoken, and absolutely the type of person who's still gentle even in anger and disappointment. HE'S THAT GUY, OKAY? He is both the personification of the older responsible, golden child and firstborn daughter.
I keep thinking about what is it about Baelor paired with Rhaenyra that makes me go hngghhhhhggh- and I realised that it's because.. I want to see him snap because of or for Rhaenyra. Just like that. He's a gentleman who'd pamper her, and perhaps ahem, indulge in her wilder kinks. You can't tell me the Realm's Delight does not delight in wild stuffs!
And Rhaenyra would absolutely find joy in telling the world in various ways that, "That awesome, half-dornish, gentle fucker is my baby's daddy." Probably in that exact wording, thrown at Otto and Alicent when the kids came out without the silver-gold hair, like yoo-hoo~ genes.
Now, aside from Mr. Breakspear *giggles* Maenyra is fucking life.
I think some people already pointed out the potential comedy of Rhaenyra and Maekar gossiping about everybody and their mother. They'd siddle up close to each other in the hallways, heads bend down in mock seriousness even though they're talking about this lord and that lady. Then when the Great Hall is opened, they'd eye each other from across the room, "Look at this guy."
And that's great, really. Absolutely.
But do consider the angst.
Maekar loves Dyanna even beyond her death, and he tries to do right by their children... Which is hot! Rhaenyra would fan herself just because of that, seriously. I'm thinking that our girl has competence and strength kinks, I mean... Look at her husbands and lovers?
I digressed there, but my point stands! Rhaenyra would absolutely fall head over heels for Dad Maekar. And if, let's say, they have to marry for political reasons.. tsk, think of the "It's just for duty." or the "No children from the two of us, you have six and I have five- I can't."
HNGHHSBGAHABSBSBS.
Anyways. They're good food for thought.. which keep stewing in my mind TT (God gives us Baenyra and Maenyra lovers strength! To write and to post the stories brewing in our mind!!)
Psst-- Also, Rhaenyra would mother and smother the Maekarlings. Especially the ones that have the most potential to incite intervention of any kind. I'm talking about.. uh, nearly everyone??
On the other hand, Valarr and Matarys would probably be chill about step-siblings. "It's just for duty," Valarr, Matarys, and Luke agreed. But Jace, oof, that one knows something's up when Rhaenyra is looking far too fond of her third husband and said husband becomes increasingly PDA happy.
Then again, Jace has been through two of his mother's marriages. Guy knows what's up. Same goes if Rhaenyra marries Maekar instead. LOL the stress the Jace and Luke would get from handling Daeron and Aerion.. Those two (Jace and Luke) might propose a trial by combat just to get rid of one of their step-siblings. You know which one.
