Will being the new recruit, and he meets the alluring prostitute, Karen, and the mysterious vampire, Grimsley, when investigating an old house. And then they like, solve crimes together (not grimsley because he causes some of them) Idk! It'd be fun! Fanfiction writers, PLEASE take notes. Fuck, I might show this AU through are when I have the time!l)

i can't be normal about grimsley it's driving me 200 miles per hour on the freeway!!!!!!!!!! i keep thinking about how in masters he chose to be alone because it's easier for him. in my mind i remember how he has to deal with what we can only assume trust issues (that he implied in Masters) from when he was a kid. he had to fend for himself at the family estate because of adults who, in his words, took advantage of him so he had to learn how to read people, which is so sad to hear. he does things for himself, and it can come off as selfish. it's unfortunately a result of his upbringing, really only getting involved in things if it directly affects him rather than to be a hero. that's something we see in the manga. in both masters and usum he talks about having to walk by the beaches in his despair due to some major losses but we never truly know what. my guess it's more than just the money if he didn't care where he ended up when he was surfing (haunting to think about), and I'll reiterate it's something he says in both usum and masters.

i mentioned this before: on one hand, i get really emotional at how the sea provided him so much freedom. and on the other hand, i am so heartwarmed with karen and will wanting him on their team, especially knowing grimsley didn't feel anyone wanted much to do with him. the motif of the water comes back into play with his sygna suit, even stating how sharpedo has a more aggressive fighting style. which to me felt like he was taking reign of his worth and value as a trainer to offer a good offensive for the both of them. anyway i just love all character bits that they pack into these interactions even if it feels like i'm surviving off crumbs.
