It's interesting what parts of this chapter that people are posting about most/focusing on (Or at least, for what's coming across my dash), versus what I keep thinking about whenever I see other people's image sets.
-Which is this section, most specifically the final panel, with Opera having removed their glove to so thoroughly check that Iruma- the first person they've probably *ever trusted* is alive... It's such a painful image. Both in how much you *don't* see of Opera, and how much you *do* see of Iruma.
It's heartbreaking, most especially after the flashback involving trust. A majority of us know Alice will turn around, but at this moment, there is such a deep, sad bleakness that aches and bleeds through the panels.
Maybe it's the lingering effect of having written/completed Lost and Found/Surrender and Recover... But man. These panels just hurt so much. Opera's been so difficult to pin down [as a character] the past few chapters, despite knowing through it all, that they care for Iruma deeply and absolutely.
I just-
Their unique relationship as family in this series is so different from the main storyline, but is no less/more special. -sigh- Just... I have so many feels here, and so very little capability to express myself through words.
