Maria Glória Poltronieri Borges (25), known as Magó, was sexually assaulted and strangled at a waterfall in Mandaguari, Brasil on january 26. Cristiane Soares or 'Cris Nagô' (43) was shot in a parc in Campina Grande, Brasil on february 1st while giving a capoeira class. I made this illustration in memory and honour of both, and to share their stories. It is important that also people beyond Brasil should know about these murders, these feminicides. As patriarchy, homophobia, religious intolerance, antifeminism and violence grow ever stronger in Brasil and everywhere else around the globe, it is the responsibility of all of us to stand against it.
