About this Character: Magalia was originally made to be a character for a magical girl rp on toyhouse/hosted on discord. She's half samebito(a sharkman species)/half mermaid, and has skin made up of teeth! She's definitely on the snobbish, vain side and has an attitude more fitting for a spoiled rich girl rather than a poor fisherman's daughter. Mind you, she's not ashamed of her father - she's rather proud - but she very much wants to succeed even at the expense of others.
For all of my admittedly few followers that I have here, just an update as to where I'm at in life. We're fine, pictured is a before and after of my home in Magalia, California, just above Paradise, my hometown, the place I grew up, which was unfortunately entirely destroyed in the CampFire. Almost everyone I know is now jobless and homeless. My family and I are safe, we are staying out of town now with extended family. We didn't save much since we had to evacuate so quickly. We plan on eventually rebuilding and staying in the community despite the destruction. On the right of both photos you can see a Christmas ornament on a small tree, when we moved to magalia, one of the first things we did was put that ornament in that tree. At the time, it was just a sapling, and the ornament made the entire thing bend like in Charlie Brown Christmas. The point I'm making I guess is, when you've lost everything, the memories remain. Everything that happens will have always happened, and you have to cherish the things that make you smile. Thanks for reading about my personal stuff folks. Hope everyone out there who were also affected by these fires are okay, stay strong.
I don't come on here and ask anyone for anything ever, especially money. This is my platform to share things I find funny or relevant and that's it. But I have to ask those of you reading this now for something, and it's not for me. My home is being ravaged by California's most destructive wildfire. It's day 5 of the Camp Fire, and so many I know and love have lost everything. The town of Paradise, a town I go to every winter to play in the snow and drink hot chocolate from the local candy store, is gone. "Completely wiped out" according to CalFire. The fire is moving south to Chico and Oroville, to towns my family and I visit almost daily, because our town of Gridley, is so small, we rely on Chico and Oroville for most services like groceries, gas and hospitals. I have lifelong friends living in both of those towns worried for their lives. As of 7am this morning (11/12) the Camp Fire is at 113,000 acres of destruction, has reduced 6,700 homes to dust, has claimed the lives of 29 civilians, over 200 people are still reported missing, and it's only at 25% containment. There are thousands of people in shelters around the valley, including one at my alma mater, Gridley High. People and their pets are sleeping on cots, in tents, in trailers in below freezing weather and have nothing but the clothes on their backs. I'm asking you wonderful people of tumblr to donate anything you can to the Red Cross to aid the victims, my friends, my loved ones, of the Camp Fire in Butte County. They need all the support they can get. PLEASE share this post! Even if you can't donate, just reblogging this will be tons of help. Please also feel free to ask me any questions you may have about the situation or donating or anything, my ask box is open. Thank you everyone in advance!

California Army Veteran: Flag a Sign of Hope After Camp Fire Devastation
Chase Bowden is a California Army Veteran. He and his wife Kimberly moved to the small California town of Magalia near Paradise in 2009. But when the Camp Fire broke out last Thursday and destroyed their town, they had to evacuate with family, leaving everything behind. Only one thing remained of their home: the American flag that he had placed on the tree house he made for his children.

A rare non-vague personal post for anyone who will actually read it... back to my place on the west side of Chico after leaving Thursday night, the day the Camp Fire started. Five or six miles from the eastern edge of Chico is the edge of Paradise, a town of 27,000, which basically doesn't exist anymore. Nor does probably half of the 11k+ town just north of it, Magalia. Absolutely unbelievable. All the people I know from those towns are safe but also either know or are fairly certain their homes are gone.
Spent a surprisingly pleasant better part of a week in the bay area while out of town, aside from helping a friend who's dad had refused to leave an evacuated area by calling emergency services for her (he's safe now) and just... like... trying not to break down in tears quite a few times. Heading back to work tomorrow, where my employers have installed 65 air scrubbers in the warehouse and have N95 masks available. Picked some of those up for myself on the way up and a MERV 13 filter for our apartment. Glad I did, smells like... well, honestly, a camp fire, outside. Also, whoever decided "Camp Fire" was a good name can go fuck themselves. Camp Creek Road... so they decided it was a good pun maybe? Idk, but how many internet searches were hampered with "how to build a campfire" and shit... fucking stupid.
Anyway... yeah... never thought the deadliest wildfire in California history would come to within few miles of me. But I guess people generally don't expect things like that.
For all of my Butte County followers (of followers).
