It is important to recognize that Eagle Pass, a quiet town of around 28,000 people, is 96% Hispanic/Latino and only 3.6% White non-hispanic [2020 US Census]. Not all legal residents speak English and for many Spanish is their preferred language. That means it is nearly impossible to determine whether a person is a US citizen, legal immigrant, or illegal immigrant through observation alone.
The MAGA mob, Governor Abbott, and the Texas Guard are UNWANTED by locals who view them as the PROBLEM instead of the immigrants from south of the border.
